CarelineUK: rebranding, rebuilding and recruiting

Since taking on the top job in 2008, Carl Atkey, head of Hampshire-based CarelineUK, has been working hard to modernise and rebrand the community alarm/telecare service. Before 2009 CarelineUK was branded Cirrus Careline. Despite its size (it handles over 4,000 calls a day), it had kept a rather low profile, building up its customer base to cater for the needs of local authorities, housing associations, charities and property management companies in addition to providing a range of call response services to its parent company Peverel Group. As well as those, CarelineUK has also built up a strong base in out-of-hours building facilities management with over 500,000 service users and has recently developed lone worker and personal mobile monitoring services.
