BeClose, a sensor-based telecare system, announced their market launch at March’s ASA-NCOA annual meeting.  The system is sensor-based, with multiple placements in living areas, bedroom and bathroom to track motion through the home.  It’s a little different than the predecessor (or as stated, partner) Alarm.com system in that it uses a variety of sensors–motion (with long-lived batteries), door-window-refrigerator open/close, pressure sensitive mats for bed, bathroom mat and chair, water–to monitor behavior, activity and risk factors in the home.
