Home care: reasons why *not* to adopt telehealth (US)

This blog post from the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) is refreshingly frank–and disappointing–in its presentation regarding the liability situations that home care agencies may encounter when they adopt telehealth technologies.  While liability for negligence and abandonment are very real issues when devices fail to function or users fail to monitor, the overall tone will suffice to scare any home care agency management –already technophobic–into not using remote monitoring that could improve care and long-term outcomes of their clients.  Telehealth liability issues on the horizon!
