PwC study finds physicians going mobile

More from the ‘Healthcare Unwired’ study by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) [TA 9 Sept]  Physicians have a high level of acceptance of mHealth for patient monitoring (88% would like patients to monitor their own health at home; 57% would like to monitor their patients outside of a hospital)–but they are leery of too much data.  63% are using mobile devices for mobile health that are unconnected to their practices or hospital–and 30% admitted that the latter don’t support mobile health.  And the vast majority (81%) are using professional online and digital sources for health information.  Analysis at Marketing Charts.
