‘Patient from hell’ Dick Vinegar, writing in the Guardian Professional, wishes he lived in Staffordshire – a place with a bad record for hospitals but which has practical ideas for keeping people out of them. It’s a good view of telecare and telehealth from a potential user’s perspective: Keep me out of hospital and save millions of pounds.

And from the other perspective: the government should create a universal entitlement to telecare support, according to a report from the Strategic Society Centre (SSC) think tank: Telecare entitlement ‘should be universal’.
