In spring 2007, Calit2 (one of four California Institutes for Science and Innovation) staff researcher Paul Blair mentored a team of electrical engineering students who developed an enhanced Bluetooth blood-pressure monitor and integrated it into Calit2’s cell phone-based wireless healthcare infrastructure.
An interesting story but why does one gets the impression that, along with the recent stories linked to below, it’s possibly a University ‘discovering’ telehealth monitoring or telecare and blowing its own trumpet with little regard for existing developments?
