Indian company uses iPad to screen for birth defects

i2i TeleSolutions, a Bangalore and Chennai-based startup, is developing an ultrasound platform based on the iPad and iPhone as screening platforms for detecting fetal abnormalities. The platform would link sonographers around the world, helping experts monitor pregnancies as well as reviewing and reporting on fetal health either online or thru a wireless mobile network. Earlier, i2i developed an iPhone app and graphics as a telemedicine tool for vision screening.  eeTimes India
