MIT's students continue development of Sana telemedicine

This spring we covered the impressive win by the MIT MocaLab (now Sana) of Vodafone’s and the mHealth Alliance awards [TA 20 April] and the project head’s thoughts on the Android platform [TA 24 April].  Since 2008, Sana student teams have been working in India and the Philippines, developing and deploying smartphone applications to collect patient data including pictures and video.  This article from MIT’s e-letter updates ‘what they did last summer’ including training local developers to write software for Sana apps, developing a model for screening high-risk oral cancer patients and identifying areas for improvement.   MIT News: In the World.
