Geonovo win 'Best Innovation' prize at TSA2011

RSP-100Geonovo was awarded the ‘Best Innovation 2011’ prize at the Telecare Services Association’s Crystal Awards ceremony at TSA2011. The runners up were Tynetec and Tunstall in partnership with Worcestershire County Council. Geonovo also won first prize in a competition held by the UKT&I on 31st October 2011 to exhibit their new device on the UKT&I stand at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2012. The Best Innovation 2011 award was made for the RSP-100 Personal Safety Phone which is used for “Alzheimer’s sufferers [!], elderly [!], vulnerable [! Who writes these press releases?] and lone workers.” It is a simplified mobile phone with built-in GPS tracking and a monitored SOS alarm. There is also a smartphone app that enables families and carers to monitor the RSP-100 devices from their handsets.
