Connected health and the doctor-patient relationship

For your summer reading, Dr. Joseph Kvedar of Boston’s Center for Connected Health discusses how remote monitoring not only provides the physiologic data for proactive care and provides a basis for patient education–but also, in increasing the contact between a provider and the patient, encourages patient self-monitoring and behavioral change through directly linking information with accountability.
