Doctors in US insurance giant Aetna’s network in Florida can now access exclusive features on their mobile devices. Through NaviNet Mobile Connect (NaviNet is a patient information management network used by many insurers), in-network physicians can access ‘Care Considerations’, patient information generated by Aetna’s disease management subsidiary, ActiveHealth; medical literature and e-prescribing information. Of interest of course is that this test is in a major market like Florida; no timing or success metrics are disclosed. Aetna introduces mobile resources for Florida doctors (MobileHealthWatch).
