WellDoc announces DiabetesManager integration with EHR

WellDoc announced on Monday the integration of their FDA-approved DiabetesManager patient coaching platform with a leading (but not stated) EHR. The integration is two-way: it automates the pre-population of a patient’s health information from the EHR into the DiabetesManager, immediately customizing the DiabetesManager algorithms to the patient’s treatment regimen. Then, as changes are made in the patient medical record, the DiabetesManager automatically reconfigures the patient coaching system. The US Air Force provided funding for the integration to support their diabetes management program. WellDoc, whose mobile phone based system supports adult type 2 patients, is claiming this as a first. Release.
