PHR and payment smart card introduced at HIMSS (US)

Personal health records and a payment option on a smart card? Introducing at HIMSS11 (Health Information and Management Systems Society’s annual meeting) is the LifeNexus Personal Health Card, supposedly the first multi-purpose electronic health card with the individual’s PHR with a payment card option all on the same card. The information is contained on what they call an iChip which is both encrypted and password-protected. Release.
