As predicted, the contract for the Northern Ireland Remote Monitoring Service has been awarded to the TF3 consortium (Tunstall, Fold and S3). The responsible Minister, Michael McGimpsey, congratulated all those involved in the procurement, including the European Centre for Connected Health in the Public Health Agency, Trust staff who helped develop the service, and TF3 as contract winners. The funding for the service has shrunk from £46 million when first announced in 2008 to £18million over the next six years. Northern Ireland Executive press release: McGimpsey welcomes Telehealth for patients.
