The appointment of three new directors to Tynetec’s Board and its commitment of over £500,000 (US$800,000) to a major Assisted Living Innovation Platform (ALIP) project sponsored by the UK Government’s Technology Strategy Board (TSB), announced last year, are indications of its faith in the future expansion of the market and Tynetec’s role in it.
The new appointments are: Steve Cornfield, who will be joining the company and taking over the role of Managing Director; Dave Foster joining as Commercial Director, and Richard Evans, who is General Manager at Tynetec’s Blyth factory. Current Chairman and Managing Director Tony Platten, who founder Tynetec in 1979, will be assuming the position of Executive Chairman and will remain active in the company, particularly in product development.
