Given the appalling statistics on maternal deaths in that country, ‘Can “Tele-health” Cut Maternal Mortality in Zambia?’ is a pertinent question raised in a new item in Reproductive Health Reality Check. The date references in the article imply that it originated in 2002, so it would be interesting to have an update. It’s also worth noting that ‘telehealth’ in this context seems to mean a combination of remote information-giving, patient data sharing and consultation at a distance. Read it here.
