A 'roadmap' to wearable sensor devices' growth

R&D Daily‘s article on ‘medical tech’s growth spurt’ focuses on recent projections on wearable sensors and devices, developed as part of the Computing Consortium Community’s (CCC) Robotics Roadmap.  In five years, a variety of wearable devices should interface wirelessly with assistive robots; in ten years, lightweight wearable sensors will be able to provide a range of physiologic data as well as some measure of prediction; in fifteen years, sensors will be interoperable with bio-feedback systems to facilitate human-machine interaction.  And the aging population will be driving this growth, to better enable older people [us?] to stay safely, with better quality of life and health, at home.
