DoD health IT plans need work, too (US)

We’ve been looking to the Department of Defense and the VA to help lead the way in policy issues surrounding health IT. It turns out they are straining like everyone else.  The Government Accountability Office is taking the DoD to task about the following:  identifying and measuring risks to comply with its health IT goals and timelines; offering strategies to correct the risks; or calculating what resources will be necessary to attain health IT support for clinical practices.  DoD is naturally disputing some of the statements in the preliminary report.  And the Washington whirligig spins on.  iHealthBeat.
