Reality before roses:  all healthcare reform bills before Congress are nearly stalled.  The policies embodied in “healthcare reform” and the uncertainty have generated substantial opposition in both parties, by voters and now even by special interest groups that initially backed this.  Also in the US, attention is now elsewhere on the war in Afghanistan.  Like the bills, funding for startups, for this and other reasons, is stalled as well.  (For a historical POV, see comment #1 under the article.)
