Non-US readers will be interested in this newspaper report not for the technology – it is basic fare for any UK telecare service – but for the price that the State of Ohio is apparently prepared to put on the ability to check that people are OK…$6.47 to $9.83 per hour. By editor Steve’s calculation, at present exchange rates the lower of those prices puts it at £680 per week. Either the hourly figures are wrong or someone is raking it in!
