Quest Diagnostics introduces mobile lab result platform

Quest Diagnostics, the largest provider of diagnostic testing services in the US, introduced an iPhone and BlackBerry app (with Android to come) called Gazelle, enabling users to receive their Quest Diagnostics lab results (including sharing test results by fax/email), directly manage their PHR and to set lab appointments.  The direct lab results are only available in 33 states and DC (remaining states don’t permit–why?).  Gazelle also can integrate personal health applications from third party providers, including Keas‘.  Quest’s sheer 9000 lb. footprint will serve to kickstart this area and to move patient rights forward.  Release.  FierceMobileHealthcare.
