North Yorkshire County Council flying in face of the White Paper?

According to this local news report, in a move that runs counter to the thrust of the recent White Paper ‘Our Care, Our Health, Our Say’, North Yorkshire County Council plans to cease funding a low-cost ‘home from hospital’ service. The question should not be whether the scheme is currently good value for money, but how it can be enhanced by integration into North Yourkshire’s strategy for telecere – does it have one? – using the £871,000 it is receiving from the Preventative Technology Grant this year and next.
