Citing the need for an ‘umbrella organization in mobile health over all of the special interest groups and associations that make up the mobile health ecosystem’, founder Wendy Thomas of Mobile Health Expo announced during MHX the formation of the Mobile Health Association. According to reporter Neil Versel in his interview with her, the response to the ‘call of interest’ was significant enough to move forward with further directional input from what would be the founding members. It is likely to be a non-profit with international goals of education and public policy influence, an easy step as several Washington movers and shakers have been involved with MHX since Las Vegas. More on this when Ed.
