Here is an iPhone medical app with its roots not in profit but in a tragedy.  The Josie King Foundation was founded to help people from harm or death due to medical errors in the hospital.  Their Patient Journal is designed to record important information concerning a loved one’s hospital stay–everything from doctors’ and nurses’ names, meds, diet, questions to ask–to logging your hospital parking spot.  Patient Journal is available at the iTunes store.  Josie King Foundation blog.
