In an interesting further demonstration of its commitment to improving health outcomes, Intel’s Digital Health division has launched ConnectingForCare.com which, with press release ‘licence’ it claims to be “the first online community of its kind for family caregivers, nurses, social workers and others to share information and provide emotional support, filling a void in today’s healthcare system.”
The site has been developed by Intel in collaboration with the National Family Caregivers Association and its aim is to build a sense of community among caregivers through interactive forums, personal profiles, and links to the latest research or treatments. Telecare Aware readers might want to take a few minutes to scan the content of one of the early forum topics: Electronic Emergency Medical Alert Systems.
