Healthcare CONVERGED on Philadelphia

converge logoEditor Donna attended MedCityNews’s CONVERGE Summit for Healthcare Innovation in Philadelphia on Tuesday. Her comments will be part of next week’s and inform subsequent articles when she returns from out of town. However, the organizers deserve cheers–they took a different tack with this event in limiting it to one day, with a small startup showcase in the lobby, very focused keynotes, panels and limited breakouts. Its advantage–it was ‘just enough’ of a cross-section of companies (eHealth, med device, pharma), academia, providers and investors) on choice topics. This meant far less attendee fatigue and most staying till the very end. The not-well-known healthcare clout of Philadelphia and area was obviously evident from both the speakers and the attendees. And the choice of the Hyatt Bellevue was inspired and gracious. To catch up what went on, visit Twitter at #ConvergeConf (Editor Donna posts as @deetelecare) and MedCityNews’ own coverage.
