Flagging this up belatedly. On 9 December 2010 Counsel and Care (a UK charity for older people, their families and carers, whose chief executive Stephen Burke has been a strong advocate of free telecare) published a free 43-page PDF Telecare and telehealth: what it is and how to get it. Sponsored by Tunstall but written and produced by Counsel and Care for the general public, it’s a good look at what the technology is and what it can do. Good, that is, apart from the rather odd references to ‘assisted technology’.
