Two items from STV Scotland, one day apart, draw quite a contrast between the care of someone in a ‘care home’ where standards were poor and the alarm (whatever it was) was switched off at a crucial time and someone supported at home with a telecare device (a buddi). Elderly resident found lying outside in the snow at ‘unsatisfactory’ care home. Sat-nav being used to keep track of dementia sufferers who get lost.
