Bosch’s UK health division is to participate in trials and, presumably, development work, in a partnership between Warwick University and its Institute of Digital Healthcare (IDH) to “design new technologies and evaluate existing ones to improve the lives of thousands of people in the UK.” Two initial telehealth studies are planned: The first will examine a large number of patients with cancer and will assess how telehealth improves quality of life, behaviour, cost effectiveness and mortality rates and the second as part of a wider study into chronic diseases, will set out to understand how telehealth can monitor and help more than 1,500 patients with vascular diseases.
