AgeTech West forms for senior living telehealth, mHealth

Last week, three of LeadingAge’s West Coast state partners (California, Oregon and Washington) in non-profit senior communities and the California Association of Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) announced their collaboration in a new organization called AgeTech West, succeeding AgeTech California, at their annual conference and technology exposition in Pasadena. Its stated purpose is ‘to provide leadership to advance the delivery of tech-enabled aging and home care services for better, more efficient person-centered care.’ AgeTech West has several companies already affiliated with the organization such as Care Innovations and Independa (partnering with LG); also affiliated is Public Health Institute’s Center for Technology and Aging (CTA) which presented its ADOPT toolkit [TA 27 Sept] Editor Donna note: AgeTech West is not to be confused with the AgeTek (Aging Technology Alliance) developer/manufacturer/distributor group.
