Acidic rant provokes telehealth clarification (UK)

The Guardian’s ‘Patient from Hell’, blogger Dick Vinegar, whose earlier item Keep me out of hospital and save millions of pounds we flagged up here, has, with his latest piece Let’s stop purely academic delays to telehealth, provoked a series of comments. So far these have been from Mike Clark, David Barrett, Ben Whitelaw, Saad Mahamood and Trisha Greenhalgh. And the comments have turned into a useful summary of the current UK telehealth ‘scene’ as far as large trials are concerned, although Alere’s Northern Ireland experience and Docobo’s more diffuse experiences do not (yet Wink ) get a mention. The whole thing is worth reading by anyone with even a flicker of interest in what is going on with remote patient monitoring telehealth in the UK.
