Vena/Qualcomm wireless platform announced

Cambridge Consultants, developer of the VenaHub launched last year at the Connected Health Symposium, announced at the Continua Alliance’s ‘Plugfest’ in Belfast (N. Ireland) a new platform for enabling wireless connectivity from a medical device to on-line health services, compliant to the Continua Health Alliance standard.  According to the release, it’s a combination of Qualcomm’s Wearable Mobile Device cellular module and Cambridge Consultants’ Vena software stack.  More technical details beyond this editor’s [Donna] database are in the release; Reader’s Digest version at MedGadget.
