Travel avoidance by telehealth usage

This study proposal on how much travel can be reduced by the use of telehealth–travel by patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals–is intriguing because it points out a cost saving that is not enumerated reliably as a savings. The study design is to identify those studies which provide information on how much travel was avoided, and then estimate the true value of the savings. The authors are from Norwegian, Australian and Iranian (!) universities.
