Telecare saves two lives – twice (UK)

A 90-year-old couple in South Wales were saved twice by a telecare service connected carbon monoxide alarm before moving to a sheltered housing scheme. This item illustrates not only the effectiveness of smoke/CO detectors but that use of remote monitoring equipment can help spot the optimum time for a change of residence and make the case for it. Council’s careline proves a lifesaver for elderly couple from South Wales Evening Post. [Heads-up thanks to Jeanette Munn.]
