OECD expert meeting on eHealth indicators

Current indicators on eHealth availability and use are not uniform and do not cover all Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries. The European Commission funded the consultancy company empirica to undertake studies on eHealth Indicators and eHealth Benchmarking. The result is a comprehensive inventory of available statistical evidence on eHealth in Europe, Canada and the USA. The research also developed a framework to facilitate a comprehensive set of global eHealth key indicators and data gathering procedures. At the OECD expert meeting in Paris on Monday, May 25, on measuring the progress of global eHealth diffusion, Werner B. Korte and Veli Stroetmann of empirica presented and discussed the results of these studies to OECD/WHO experts.
