Small but growing French company uses new technology from Nokia (Nokia 6131 NFC – Near Field Communications) to allow easy ‘log in’ by mobile phone to a central server when a care giver visits and leaves a home-based client. The backend, which can contain a wide range of medical and social care data on clients, is triply secured – encrypted site, a user sound-activated code card and a pin number. Hippocad website.
