Content provider buys app developer=man bites dog?

Isn’t this supposed to be the other way around? Remedy Health Media, a 16 year old NYC-based health information, online/print publishing and direct marketing company for both health professionals and consumers (via the former), yesterday announced the acquisition of Intelecare Compliance Solutions, a five year old developer of web, iPhone and iPad based applications for personal medication reminders. While Remedy does considerable direct marketing (including templated physician websites that provide–what else–Remedy-generated content), and publishes professional journals (Johns Hopkins)–it’s best known for publishing patient education materials found in offices and now web. Obviously they see gold in going a step further and getting those educated patients to comply with their meds. Intelecare’s CEO joins Remedy as EVP. Release.
