You’ve got mail…Ecumen, a Midwest senior housing non-profit based in Minnesota, and the Presto Services computerless email system announced today that Ecumen will be offering Presto Mail to residents. The Presto Mail and Printing Mailbox system permits a non-computer user to have an inbound email address to receive email and attachments (such as pictures) on a specially designed HP printer. The system is also set up to print the sender’s name and phone for easy return calls, plus screening for spam and optional delivery of Facebook pictures. It’s not ‘whiz-bang’ mobile but great nonetheless for keeping seniors in the ‘family loop’. Now if they can figure out a way to receive texts from the grandkids… Release (PDF)
