For those of us who associate Avery Dennison with office products and labels, their presence in healthcare will come as a surprise (well, it did Editor Donna!) Their recently announced partnership with Preventice, a developer of mobile health apps and platforms, will lead to a new design for Avery’s Metria patch-based sensors (which use technology from Proteus Biomedical) which are used for monitoring in hospitals and healthcare. Preventice will sell Metria as part of its Care Platform. Release.
Preventice has also been busy with new partners Qualcomm Life (with their 2net Platform to provide chronic care patients with multiple remote connectivity options–release) and in Canada with Mihealth’s remote patient monitoring systems.
