Your Friday (Halloween) robotics fix

For our US readers:  want a really different costume for your Halloween bash or trick ‘n’ treating?  The Taizo (‘taizou’=calisthenics) robot from (where else?) Japan, is cute, cuddly and does a 30-move exercise routine verrryyyyy slowwwwly.  Developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) it has 25 joints, is a little over 2 feet tall and does most exercises seated (for those over 40,000 centenarians).  You can repurpose your Pillsbury Doughboy costume to promote healthy habits and healthy aging services! Plus collect a lot of pats and hugs.  Pink Tentacle has the article and video.
