'DIY house calls': technology brands gone missing

each one of the programs mentioned is a pilot.  Particularly misleading is the author’s central example of a heart failure patient in the MetroPlus program; she is one of 13 (see this NYC Health & Hospitals Corp. release).  Perhaps this editor [Donna] takes a dimmer view as she comes from telecare, where for years we were the ‘next big thing’, generating reams of positive press, ‘partnership trials’ and ‘breakthroughs’. Five years later, some big names are still not far beyond that stage, fighting for every unit installed.  The article does leave you with that ‘Year 0’ feeling…someone, say it ain’t so!
