UK telecare call centre rationalisation – slowly but surely

Yesterday’s announcement by Eastbourne-based Welbeing that they have acquired the telecare monitoring business of CASA Lifeline – which had provided services to approximately 4,000 customers across Kent and East Sussex, reminds editor Steve that one of his first observations about the monitoring market back in 2004 was just how much scope there was for rationalisation of such provision to achieve economies of scale. That is still the case it seems! Larger scale operations can also provide more effective competition for the big monitoring companies and keep them on their toes. Press release.
