The interestingly named CollaboRhythm (sounds like a musical co-op) out of MIT’s Media Lab is aiming to connect patients with physicians 24/7 in a variety of ways. This avatar (on website) asks the patient a series of questions about their care, which are sent to their doctor before the visit, or provides simple answers to queries, medication reminders and test results. The doctor’s office has a touch screen display to click and drag a medication to a schedule, the patient can download a reminder app, a graph back to the doctor’s smartphone analyzes projected medication blood levels, and the patient can even get a visualization of how the drug is working.
