Canada telehealth associations merging

The Canadian Society of Telehealth (CST) announced at its well-attended annual meeting earlier this month in Vancouver that it will merge with COACH (Canada’s Health Informatics Association) and form the Canadian Telehealth Forum (CTF) as part of the COACH organization.  Trevor Chadduck, writing about the merger on the Boost.me website, noted that it facilitates work between telehealth and health informatics professionals.  And there is the convergence with EHRs. As he aptly summarized:  “Telehealth cannot continue to survive as a silo activity. It needs to be integrated into mainstream health care if it is to have any lasting impact.”  Trevor Chadduck’s blogpost
