The Telehealth.Net blog – aimed mostly at mental health professionals, it seems – has been running a campaign to draw attention to the fact that Skype and VOIP telecoms are less secure for teleconsultation purposes than most of us think they are. Selection of articles here.

    Skype causes a very big headache to world wide security services as it forms a peer 2 peer network. Hence the US goverment offering a massive reward for anyone devolping a solution to intercept calls.

    Now VOIP can be insecure if set up poorly.
