Another take on the future of robots in personal care

The TimesOnline picks up on remarks by Colin Angle, co-founder of the iRobot company. This comment is striking at the end: “For example, if an older relative does not answer a nightly telephone call, a live-in robot can be sent to look for them, using mapping technology, heat sensors, and a live video feed.” So what’s happened to the principle that the simplest solution is probably the best?
