Perhaps this is an opportune moment for a side note to point out to Telecare Aware’s readers that it was Carl May who used the term ‘telehealthcare’ in his evidence to the House of Commons Health Committee in March 2005, to mean what came later to be referred to generally as ‘telehealth’ – a good few years before Tunstall – whose chief executive at the same committee meeting only ever referred to ‘telecare’ – started using ‘telehealthcare’ to mean telecare and telehealth together.
