US Northwest Region Telestroke Survey results

A just-published survey of hospitals in NW USA reveals that many people who have strokes are not receiving the treament of choice. 88% of respondents said their rural communities suffer from lack of access to stroke specialist neurologists. But it is encouraging that 64% are currently in the process of, or considering development of, a telestroke program to address the lack. Press release (PDF) with links to the survey results.
