MIT's Sana mobile health platform wins $150,000 prizes

The Vodafone Americas Foundation and the mHealth Alliance announced today that Sana, formerly MocaMobile, had won third place ($100,000) in the Vodafone Wireless Innovation Prize as well as the mHealth Alliance Award ($50,000).  Sana was developed at MIT to enable mobile phones to capture and send out data for EMRs by MIT’s partners in India, Mexico, Philippines, and rural North Carolina.  MIT’s Moca Lab project in Mindanao, Philippines uses this phone (our 6 April article).  Article (Mobihealthnews).
