Meridian Health (NJ), Best Buy test mHealth device sales

Meridian Health, the largest health system in central NJ, and Best Buy, the leading US electronics retailer, are testing consumers’ comfort level in purchasing  connected health devices at local Best Buy stores.  Blood pressure cuffs and glucose meters may be more commonly sold at CVS and Walgreens drug stores, but device interoperability, usability and connectivity (to PCs, mobile phones) are generally beyond the skill set of staff there.  Presumably, Best Buy sales staff have been trained to answer these questions above the din and racket of a typical Best Buy store. Meridian Health provides the connectivity back into the health system, and of course there are strong possibilities for Meridian Health/Best Buy co-branding (never forget the marketing!).  MobiHealthNews’ Everywhere Healthcare.
